I saw a status recently on Facebook, talking about women who wear extensions. The person who posted the status would be considered a natural hair wearer, however this same person wears false eyelashes that are Snuffleupagus length.
I am not writing this to call this person out, yet it inspired the hypocrisy that we all show. I don’t believe I would have been so inspired had the status not referred to how these women who had extensions felt like they looked so hot. Well the same would go for the overly long fake eyelashes that one has applied on a regular.
I think anyone should feel beautiful. I don’t always think that everything someone wears looks nice, however I don’t need to talk about those who do the same thing that I do just in a different way. In my opinion that is down right ignorant.
We as women do this regularly to each other. Why….mostly because we are not happy with ourselves.
So lady friends, let’s remember, next time we talk about another woman doing something, make sure that we aren’t doing it also.
